Hello, I am Marie
I work as a project manager. I’m a parent and an expat living in Zürich, Switzerland.
Several years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It All Began
Moving to Switzerland wasn’t in the master plan. Like many international moves, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complex than they should.
The Adjustment Phase
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. Yet gradually, routines took shape. We found places that suited us, met other families, and began building something that felt stable.
Why I Created Give Latoru Un
The majority of online information was either corporate relocation advice or shallow tourism material. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site exists to fill that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in Switzerland.
What This Site Does (And Doesn’t)
This site is:
- Practical insights from living in Switzerland
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site isn't:
- A tourism authority resource
- A platform for sponsored reviews
- An ordinary travel blog
Looking Forward
Our stay in Switzerland continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll keep recording what we learn.
If you have questions about family life in Zürich or anywhere in Switzerland, don't hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Marie
